Even kids are not spared
Today i had been to the "Organic Kerala 2006" , a fair on organic food products and organic cultivation held at Town Hall, Cochin. The fair was organized by various goverment organizations(Corporation of Cochin,Kerala agricultural University etc.) ,different councils and forums jointly.
In the photo exhibition was displayed a photo(shown along side) of a baby born with her head 5 times the size of a normal head. This is a result of chemical pollution caused by insecticide(endosulphan) sparying over the cashew plantations in Kazargode district of kerala. Thousands of babies are born with abnormalities in this region due to the use of endosulphan. All throughout her life she never stopped crying due to the pain caused by this gigantic head.
This baby was lucky enough to die at the age of one. Who can save the less luckier babies who are still crying.....and the babies waiting to enter this world....???????????
